For my design communications class we were given the assignment to create a book based on a specific aspect of our region: The Rio Grande Valley. My group decided to chose coffee shops in The Valley as our aspect.
As for my book, I took into consideration The Valley as a group of developing urban cities. Because a couple years ago coffee shops were a rarity in The Valley, now they're in every city. I decided to express what the future holds for The Valley through a neon aesthetic, an aesthetic that is used to portray future-like cities/neo cities.
